1st Week
Wednesday, February 25, 2009
1:05 PM
My first week of Monash College is almost over. Now that my timetable is all adjusted already, I realised that I have to be on campus for class at 9am every morning from Mondays to Thursdays. Which means I have to wake up at about 6.15am every day =( But guess what I get Fridays off. Woohoo! This means its a 3 day weekend for me. =D

We get to chose an elective beside our 3 core IT units. Initially I wanted to do digital imaging as an elective but then because it clashes with my other core subjects, I had to chose other unit as an elective. And my final choice was Management 1: Managing people and organisations. Alot of essay writing involved! Whereas my Digital Imaging unit wouldn't even have any exams only assignments, which I know I would love. Argh!

I've made a few more friends. There are only four girls in my IT classes! That's including me and out of 13 people. How sad can you get?

Random things...
  • Yesterday, my bus driver drove into a flock of flying birds. I think 4 died.
  • My textbooks are all sooo EXPENSIVE!
  • I have a tutor whose first name is Osama.
  • I so happen to be aceing my programming class at the moment. YAY ME! (so London Tipton =P)
  • There was a bushfire at Fern Gully, not far away from my home, the other day which scared me---ALOT! I was praying that it wouldn't come our way. And it didn't. I heard ambulances and police cars.
  • The walk from my house to the bus stop and back seems to get longer and longer each day.
  • I'm reading Eclipse already. Finished New Moon in less than a month.
I love you. I miss you. I need you. I want you. Come back to me please.

I met a new friend. This is Louisa from Africa. I think there are only 3 girls in my class o_O
We had more orientation today and some fun and games, team building. We even had free body combat and hip hop classes. It was like compulsory haha. It was funny doing it and watching everyone do it too. The host scheme team students even made is do this funny line dance thing with them out of no where. That was really funny!

Cute little Just Juice cartons.

I joined a life group (HG) today. Its a uni students one. I found it alright. There were people from Clayton there too. And I met a girl named Sophie from Brunei. Yay another Bruneian! hehe.

Today was the official welcome for Monash College students.
Then we have a welcome lunch. Lunch? It was more like a carnival. We had vouchers for Cotton Candy, BBQ, Asian Buffet and ICE CREAMM!! =D

This clown was really funny. He pretended to have a French accent and he also made balloon animals.

Orientation Week
Tuesday, February 17, 2009
6:44 PM
Its Rebecca's birthday today and she's SEVEN. We celebrated it over dinner at a Hakka Chinese Restaurant.

Then we went to a Pancake Parlour nearby for dessert. It was YUM! Jamaican Banana was the name of our choice. Rebecca and I played chess with this giant chess set. I taught her actually how to play. Now she knows what each piece does. She's not bad at it already I must say.

I bought a new printer(last week). A Samsung Color Laser Multi-Function Printer.
The laser printers here in Aussie are pretty cheap. Like the black laser printer I have back home sells for AUS$94. Brand new!

Dad and I met up with Aunty Faith, Uncle Kevin and their daughter Celine, yesterday for lunch.

So today was orientation. I met this girl named Maxine, she's a Russian Aussie. But we won't be classmates because she is doing part 1 and I'm doing part two. All in all there are 23 IT students in this intake but like half of them didn't turn up. There's this China girl, Dana, who will be in my class but I didn't hang much today with her. I hope there are more girl students tomorrow.

Today was a short day as we didn't have a campus tour. None of the students wanted it so ya. I've got my Student ID card already. The orientation will be until Friday. I have to wake up so early to catch the bus everyday =( It takes 30 minutes to travel to my Clayton Campus and back. And this includes walking to the bus stop. So all in all its like 1 hour each day, both ways. o_O

The Other Side Of Now
Sunday, February 15, 2009
6:02 PM

I went to yet another church service today. I've been to 3 churches in total just this week believe it or not. haha. This pastor and his wife are really nice. Their service was great as well. Their eldest daughter has her own album. Its called 'The Other Side Of Now'. Its real good. She wrote all the songs herself. Michelle Thomas is her name. Check her out on www.myspace.com/mishthomas We spent almost the whole day with them haha. I haven't met their daughters yet. One is in Africa at the moment. The other has back slided, so yea.

Anyways, they have been bush fires throughout Victoria. Some due to the heat and some lit by Arsonists. Its been terrible. About 181 people have lost their lives. In Australia the term 'bush' doesn't mean a small little shrub. Its more of a forest. And like the first time when I came to Aussie, I heard someone say, lets take a walk in the bush. I was like... how? haha. Its strange, the use of language, I know.

Valentine Birthday
Saturday, February 14, 2009
6:53 PM
Today is dad's birthday! =D 45 today. Woots!
We celebrated his birthday with family friends over dinner. Its John's bday too.

We visited City Life Church and attended their 4pm service.
The worship was awesome, they mostly sang Hillsong songs.

Ps. Mark Connor (senior pastor) was speaking today. I must say that he is a really good speaker.

Went to the city this morning with dad...

This is not a statue, its one of those people who poses as a statue for minutes and she can do robot movements very well. I took a video of it

I would applaud her, gave her some tips too.

This guy was doing tricks, he is standing on 5 tins, he added them one by one. At the same time he is juggling knives, of which a little boy from the crowd, threw up to him.

Dad, Rachy and I had a drink and Calamari by the Yarra River.

Rachy showed us her apartment, its pretty big.
This is Sammy, Rachy's dog.
This is Bubbles, Rina's(Rachy's house mate) dog
We had Nandos for lunch. PERI-PERI!

Somemore random pics of the day...
