And Enrolment day it is...

Wow.. I never knew there were so many steps and processes to go through just to fully enrol. Simple, but pretty longg...

I got my concession card, Student ID card and OHS card today. It was a short day. So I don't have much to say except, when I got home, I had extreme period cramps. I felt weak and so I took a nap. But I'm alright now. This happens once in a while when I have my time of the month.

I don't have much to say today... but enjoy the pics!

We got a free t-shirt and bag as a gift from our college

This saved my life today (Thank you Tyng! =] )

This plant was destroyed by hailstones!

And in case you're wondering, yes I do have to make my bed, and do my own laundry...

Say What They Want...
Tuesday, January 29, 2008
3:20 PM

Orientation was today... I was nervous at first. Cause I'm not that good in saying "Hi, I'm Rachel, adn you are...?" I entered 'The Basement' (our meeting place) and sat next to a girl. She turned to me and eagerly introduced herself (yay! hehe..) Her name is Ida and she's from Finland. I thought she'd be like my close buddy throughout the whole day, but it didn't utnr out that way because she soon went off with the other Europeans.

Later during our break, I met another girl named Krystel and shes from Mauritius. So cool! Never met anyone fromt here before. And the coolest thing is my ex-best friend's name is Krystle. So just switch the last two letters of their names and there you go! hehe. Shes awesome and hung with me til' the end. We exchanged phone numbers and everything even. So I pray she'll be a close friend til' the end. I also met some people from Indonesia, Malaysia, Korea, USA, etc. Many people la! Almost 200+ new students~!

I enjoyed my day, even tho' it was another extremely hot day! Phew! We had buritos for lunch! haha, never in my life have I had buritos for lunch..! =P

If Kuay Teow isn't enough, we had Bak Kut Teh today for dinner. And I tell you... its YUMMY!! I think I'm gonna enjoy the home cooked food here in Sydney. No, wait! Let me rephrase that, I'M GONNA ENJOY THE HOMECOOKED FOOD HERE IN SYDNEY!

Me & Krys

Baby, baby, I'll be back sooner than you know it! I love YOU!

The Summer Heat
Monday, January 28, 2008
6:17 PM
Man, the summer heat is really getting to me here in Sydney, Australia. (NO AIR-CON @ HOME!) But I'm settling in alright.

Orientation begins tomorrow! I'm excited =) Have to wake up early tho'. It begins like 9am in the morning.

I bought a pair of jeans today. My dad bought me a Logitech iPod stereo thingy. And I'm love loving it! hehe...
I found out that both my guardians are excellent cooks. Uncle Robbie's specialty is CHAR KUAY TEOW! (Tyng and Lindss I know you must be screaming when you read this! =P) Heheheh.. Its so yummy! Mmmmm....plus it has clams(siham) and chinese sausage in it! We ate outside this evening as it was cooler(weather-wise)...

I can't imagine life without You
Sunday, January 27, 2008
6:34 PM
Okay so this is my proper update...

I safely arrived in Sydney yesterday morning. My guardian and his wife and daughter are very friendly! And they are good cooks. =) I have a nice light lilac wall room which is half the size of my room back home, it has a single bed (I use a queen sized one at home) When I look up onto the ceiling of my room, I see stars, glow in the dark ones... (just like at home, only tinier~!) But here's the catch.. There's no air-conditioning in this house. I repeat NO AIRCON! Last night I had to sleep with no fan, no nothing. So, I requested for a fan in my room cause I could hardly get to sleep last night, I always have body heat flushes in the night lagi. Plus... its SUMMER. Its worst than Brunei here, cause its hot and dry...

I went to Hillsong Church today. Attended 2 services, one morning one and one night one. The youth mostly attend the night one. Last night, I went to their Asian service, so it feels more like a service back home. hehehe...

I miss home so much! Sniff sniff...And everyone back home. Especailly NBVD!!

My last day in Brunei
Thursday, January 24, 2008
5:49 PM
My last dinner at Charcoal (til' a long time) last night was really filling. I ate ribs with cheese on it! And I myself couldn't finish the whole dish. So, my doggies got the doggy bag! heheheh...

Today, Ling & Jeremy took me out for lunch at Frats. And that would be my last Frats til' next time. The seafood linguine dish will always be residing in my tummy's memory.

I'm gonna miss dining out in Brunei! I know, I know, Aussie has way better food to offer. But price-wise, errr... much more expensive le...I think tonight is the last time I'm gonna dine out in Brunei. Having the steak buffet in Sheraton. =) Gonna have another full and satisfied belly!

I'm all packed, except for last minute inputs like my toiletries and what nots. Other than that, my dad thinks I'm already overweight! =/ Oh wells, I'm a girl after all right?! ^^
