Tried to apply for my student visa for Aussie this morning. Turns out to be ---unsucessful! They want be to apply for an eVisa instead as I am holding a Bruneian passport which is an electronic one. sheesh! Wasting my time filling in that thick application form. ='( Waaaaaaaaa! So I'll just apply for it when I turn 18 to avoid under 18 parental consent and what not.

I'm gonna go visit the Doulos Ship tomorrow. Thats one thing to look forward to. Gonna sit for the IELTS exam this weekend. My courses that I have applied for does not require me to sit for it, but my dad just asked me to take it anyway. Now thats one thing that I'm not so looking forward to... I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT I'M IN FOR!!

They were like about 20 of us all in all last night at the dinner. And I enjoyed the food! Mmmm.. esp the garlic bread. One of the best garlic bread that I've tasted are the ones form Charcoal.

Services at the new AC2 kicked off with a BLAST! yesterday.. Whoosh! Even tho' I found it terribly cold especially when I lifted my hands, I felt like they just froze there. hehe... but other than that, the place is just simply amazing and God has promised us that it will be OUR place of refuge where we can have our 'cave time' with Him. =D I can just stand in awe of Him.


This afternoon I had another macromedia class. I got the program installed on my laptop so now I can try things out on my own at home. ^^ I learnt how to convert the macromedia file (.swf) into (.avi) format already. So here are some of my early macromedia creations!










Tonight, my dad is taking me out for dinner with the some Doulos peeps at Charcoal. woohoo can't wait! I didn't get to talk to them much yesterday. And there were there for PLK and I couldn't stay for it, so go figure!

Okay... where to begin? Hmmm.. lets start with the good news first..

I GOT ACCEPTED INTO MONASH! Yipeee! Don't have to think about applications no more. I applied for the Bachelor of Information Technology course with major in Information Systems. And I needed 8 points to get ont the course and with my results from A Levels, I only had 7 points. But... they have offered me to go for the Monash Uni pathway. Which means I do two semesters in Monash College then I immediately head on to my second year in Uni. So in other words I don't waste any years at all. Plus in this package, the fees are cheaper and I get more help from my tutors in the first year. =) Thank You Lord! Now to concentrate on my Visa. Medical check up was done this morning. I think I have to visit the Radiologist tomorrow to take an X-Ray. mm...

Now for the bad news-es.. Plural wah! =P

My dog scooby, ran away. I saw him on the road near the rubbish dump in Sungai Akar on wed as my car drove by. My dad didn't want to stop and pick him up. I knew it was him because of the blue collar he was wearing and the yellow rafia string that my maids tried to tie him to the gate with (which obviously didn't work---like hello! His metal chain broke, in case you were wondering). I think thats the last I will ever see of him. But in my mind I have this wild, crazy idea that if I stand somewhere in that area where I last saw him and call him, he will come running happily to me. Sigh~ had him for too long now.

The other bad news is I'm grounded for a month! =( For something I didn't do. But my dad said this isn't the first time, so he's still mad at me. Sigh~ And my phone is barred. My dad ain't gonna pay the bill. Will only get an Easi SIM card when I leave to Oz in Jan by the looks of it.

Speaking of leaving to Oz, my dad has already booked the flight on the 25th of Jan so looks like I'm leaving on that night. It'll be a 11pm flight. So I guess anyone who wants to see me off can come round 8/9pm. Its a school night....Bummer! I wish it wasn't... so that more of my mates could come and see me off.. =( Its gonna be SO HARD to leave Brunei. My home country, the place I grew up in.

I started Macromedia today. I so wish i could load the stuff I created to blogger. But I don't think its possible. And if it were, I don't know how~ =P Sowee~!


I'm so boredd right now. Its my lunch break. Just had a short lunch at Sushi Tei nearby. And then my dad just left me here in the computer school cause hes too tired to bring me around =( *sniffs* I'm gonna be bored for like another hour or so. Haiz. I wanna go home and sleeeep... still tired!

I'm supposed to be at my Adobe class right now but apparently the whole of Gadong had a blackout and so I was told to go home and wait as it was pointless waiting in the dark and plus its hot there... And like just a few minutes ago I got a call from their office saying that the electricity is back on again. Shouldn't Gadong get a power generator?? What an experience. First day, teacher comes an hour late and now no electricity... haiz. Patience Rachel, patience.

So I'll be heading back over there in the afternoon. You know what, even tho' I'm a noob, I'm a pro noob. heheh.. what do I mean? Well I do know some basic stuff in Adobe Photoshop already and so like I'm a quick learner la. I only have one more section and one more exercise to complete then I'm done with the Adobe Photoshop course! On Monday, I only had 5 hours of lesson time and I completed like 7 exercises. And then today I'm gonna finish off the last short lesson and exercise and then I'M DONE! The whole course is supposed to be 16 hours and I'm finishing it in 6 and a half or 7. So maybe I'll get a discount on the next course? hehe... I'm gonna ask this teacher to teach me some additional stuff too.

On to Macromedia Flash when I'm done with Adobe Photoshop. fun fun fun!

So much for having "classmates"! I'm here alone, with this teacher. And my first lesson was great even tho' began AN HOUR LATE! Man... haiz... I enjoyed learning about stuff in Adobe Photoshop that I never realised was there. So useful indeed. =D Now I can try more stuff at home. Waiting for me mom now to pick me up for lunch. Okay this is like so malu to say but.. my bro can cook! And I CAN'T. Malu eh! These past few days hes been experimenting and trying out different dishes, mostly to do with chicken. Like for e.g. last night he tried out lemon chicken and to me it just tasted simply delicious. Maybe I should hire him to be my personal cook next time. hahah... When oh when will you ever learn to cook Rachel? hmmm..?

Yeah so today, right now I'm starting my micronet computer classes. Waiting for the teacher and the other students to walk into the room. So longggg also. I think like they are having a meeting or somethings.. oh wells. Lets just be patient for once =P

Remember that time when I said I was gonna start computer short courses? I'm starting this MONDAY! Gonna start off with Adobe Photoshop and Macromedia Flash! Excited yet frustrated at the same time cause its practically a whole day thing which begins at 8.30 am!! Boohoohoo... *sniffs* There goes my lovely beauty sleeps...

And thens... what else arh? what have I been up to? Oh yea.. I have been busy designing stuff for our Freshwind camp end of next month. Been designing the pamphlet, banner and seat tags. Alot of work you know... esp aligning stuff for the pamphlet. Mich helped out with designing part of the pamphlet which I'm really grateful for because its just so hardd to design when you're mind is blank. I think Mich knows what I'm talking about. heheh...

Acts I think had one of the lowest attendance ever yesterday, but yet, the Praise and Worship lef by Von was awesome. I tell you, everyone could feel the presence of God there cause it was sooooo strong! Seriously... It was simply AWESOME. And I pray it'll never change and continue to be like this every week. Yups. Jeremy talked about Loving God Wholeheartedly. Hes on this series of loving God wholeheartedly and loving people fervently. I've learnt alot so far.

It looks as if I'm gonna be staying home the whole day today. Hopefully, tonight my parents will take me out. Please? Its gettin' boring here... I've updated all my blogs and I'm running out of things to do. Which reminds me, I'm Hungry!! *stomach growls*

Met Von yesterday at Virtuoso. We were having our music lessons, then when I finished mine, I saw Von sitting there doing her Music assignments. So I decided to ask her to chill with me at Easyway as I was hungry too... heheh..
So I ordered a plate Easyway IndoMee Goreng and had my usual green tea with grape coconut jelly. Then Von wasn't THAT hungry, so she just bought Nougats. And we chatted and we chatted... thens she pulled out this chewing gum. And asked.. "Is this for smokers?" I was like.."ER, think so.." hehe.. I wasn't sure ok and til now, I'm still not sure. All I know is that this green tea flavour rocks! And I think I'm addicted to anything that is Green Tea! hehehe...

Yesterday, my dad and I went to visit B Lau Education Services in Gadong to put in an application for Monash University in Melbourne. I hope I can get in. But I think they need more proof of my English proficiency, so I might need to take IELTS from cfbt by the end of the year.

Yea so I'm applying to Monash & RMIT. My dad is preferring for me to Monash right now because of the campus location and all. Its near the train and tramp stations. So it is a very strategic location. If I don't get in as they require 8 points and I only have 7, I might need to do a foundation, Diploma year. But I still don't waste a year tho' as I get to go into the 2nd year immediately after that. So yea... I'm still praying that I can get in the Bachelor of Information Techonology and Systems straightaway! Amen to that! =)
